To participate, simply post your REEL on Instagram by October 1st, 2025, tag @swiss_reconstructivedentistry and add #ssrd_golden_brush. The video will be shared on SSRD’s social media accounts.

The two best videos will be selected and presented at the annual meeting, where the winners will receive the following prizes:
1st Place: CHF 1’500
2nd Place: CHF 750

Description

This dental technician award is presented by the Swiss Society for Reconstructive Dentistry (SSRD) and includes a certificate and a cash prize of CHF 1,500 for first place and CHF 750 for second place (total CHF 2,250).

Purpose of the Award

The Golden Brush Award is awarded to dental technicians and certified master dental technicians with the goals of:

  • Honouring both experienced and upcoming professionals for outstanding dental technical work and its presentation
  • Promoting and supporting the value of dental technology within the field of Reconstructive Dentistry in the name of the SSRD

Eligibility Requirements

All dental technicians and certified master dental technicians who are resident and working in Switzerland are eligible to participate.

Procedure

  • Candidates are encouraged to submit a case in video format as a REEL presented posted on instagram. Cases may originate from private laboratories, private practices, or universities. The account @swiss_reconstructivedentistry has to be tagged and add the hashtag #ssrd_golden_brush has to be added. The video will be shared on SSRD’s social media accounts.
  • The jury will assess the submitted REELs using an objective scoring system, evaluating various technical and practical aspects of the case, the quality of the presentation.
  • The jury will select the three best videos for the final round. These candidates will be informed no later than 20 days before the congress that they are invited to show their video at the SSRD annual meeting.
  • The audience at the congress will vote to determine the first and second place winners.
  • If no clear winner emerges, the commission may decide to award a shared first prize.
  • Winners must be present at the award ceremony.
  • The Golden Brush Award is funded by the SSRD.
